Name of the project:

 

An introduction of the specialisation “Economics and management of non-government organisations” as a part time study programme for the bachelor studies in the Faculty of Economics and Administration at the Masaryk University in Brno.

 

The main aim: a new structure of the study programme of Economics of Public and Administration as well as study materials, texts and textbooks.

Justification of the project

 

The atmosphere of voluntary work and philanthropic feelings has anywhere such a detailed resemblance and content in a work as a member of non-profit organisation.


People, who decided  work in this sphere, they try to expand their knowledge. In view of the fact that the offer of specialised courses is for workers very thematic and time limiting and often very expensive, Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University in Brno has decided to present their suggestions for the complex educational programme such as this one.

 

Detailed description of project

 

They will attend an existing bachelor programme – 3-year-distant study accredited subject Public economics and administration to include 3-year /6 semesters/ study – the specialisation “Economics and Management of non-profit organisations” for the same financial conditions, without school fares.


The content of the study will be a complex of semestral study blocks which will include common subjects for all discipline of distant study at the Faculty of Economics and Administration and the main areas necessary for a successful work in non-profit organisations, as well as management.


The study will be divided into core and chose-yourself subjects. This study is constructed for professionals as well as for volunteers of non-profit organisations with at least one year of experience.


The study will be finished by the state bachelor examination, defend a thesis before examiners (dissertation) and receiving the title Bachelor.  One  of the conditions for opening this kind of specialisation is about 25 applicants. The maximum number of students in a year is 40.
