ALBANIAAt the moment there is no separate NGO law course taught in Albania. At the Law Faculty of the University of Tirana, theoretical background on the concept of NGOs is given in the Civil Law course (second year) when the juridical persons are explained. NGO law is also tackled in other courses, such as Public Law (first year), Law of Finance (second year), or the Administrative Law Course in relation with governmental institutions giving licensing NGOs to operate, such as the case with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health. The last course is taught at the third year by Eralda Methasani, Pedagogue, Public Law Department at the Tirana Law Faculty. Eralda also published an article, which is a summary of the new legislation on not-for-profit organizations in Albania. To read this article, see Issue 4 of the IJNL in 2001.
